Kicking off our Freshers night, we are proud to have LIL SILVA headlining on Thursday 4th October! A fantastic DJ and producer from the NIGHT SLUGS camp, we can't wait to hear what this selector has to offer; effortlessly blending the best cuts in Garage, Funky, or otherwise 'grime in disguise'. Bringing the party vibes to HiFi, this is guaranteed to be a massive set!
For support, we've got some of Leeds' most prominent selectors going in for an exclusive 3-way b2b for 90 mins! We present to you WACHS LYRICAL B2B SILAS B2B SNARE SURGEON!! With his Aartekt project taking off in the House scene, WACHS has sustained his reputation as one of the most active DJs on the Leeds circuit, running the huge VAGABONDZ events, playing at virtually every night around and not showing any signs of slowing!
Synonymous with the mighty BROTHERHOOD SOUNDSYSTEM, SILAS & SNARE SURGEON are the biggest newcomers to scene, escalating at an alarming rate! Securing weekly residencies at BIGGER THAN BARRY, plus VAGABONDZ & of course BROTHERHOOD in their first year, these boys always bring the pressure; with a passion for dungeoned 140 sounds but embracing the spectrum of Garage, Bass & Grime classics. We're warning you now - expect a blinder!
Residential support comes in the form of Drum & Bass obsessed ONSET & R.KING. Smashing sets at Beacons and Outlook Festivals, these Vagabondz & Fullfat residents are rapidly becoming the go-to DJs when it comes to Leeds DnB. With Momentum resident ONSET now label managing and supporting dubs for Dispatch Recordings, R.KING continues to improve his classic vinyl selection, blending forgotten liquid lullabies with sharp edged amens. Hold tight for a broad selection of quality D&B - in Ant TC1's words, "one of the best last sets I've heard anywhere in a while!"
We are also proud to welcome back DAN ISITT to the Leeds circuit -a brilliant, yet underrated House DJ. Specialising in Chicago & Detroit House, ISITT will play a 90s Garage / House set, having recently switched onto vinyl to keep the organic element to his music. Previously playing for underground heroes A RAVE CALLED SHARON and winning the 2010 BIGGER THAN BARRY DJ competition, make sure you keep an eye out for him this year!
Completing the DJ bill, London-based Fullfat resident CHINO makes the trip back up to follow on from our headliner with a vast selection spanning from 80s & Disco to Garage, House & future Bass Music, favouring labels such as Hessle Audio, Night Slugs, Lucky Me & Swamp 81. After smashing his set at Dilation & Friends we had to bring him up again. Electric paced on the mixing front, inventive with selection, CHINO comes highly recommended!
Hosting the night, we welcome back resident masters SPLINTER & ANX. Starting with Fullfat, SPLINTER continues to make his mark, earning residencies for VBZ, Jungle Jam & Brotherhood; hyping crowds whenever necessary & diversifying his style, hosting huge acts on the Greensdale stage at Beacons. Developing his own distinctive swagger over alternative genres, ANX has been with Fullfat from the very start, drawing influences everywhere from House & Techno to Grime – he will be back in town to complement the DJs with his unique style.
