Thought I'd bring up this new remix comp on beatport - a really good idea imo, lets you be really creative:
With Halloween around the corner, we're excited to announce our next producer challenge. Create a Halloween hit—whether spooky, eerie, or just celebratory—and you could win a slew of amazing prizes. The grand prize winner will take home a set of Event 20/20BAS Studio Monitors, an Auralex Roominator Project 2 acoustic sound control kit, and a Røde NT2-a Studio Solution kit. The second prize winner will land a copy of Sony's Sound Forge Pro 10, a Tascam US-1800 audio interface, and an online music course through Berklee Music. The third prize winner definitely won't go home empty handed either. They will receive a Zombie Apocalypse sound effects library, t-shirt, and poster, a Detroit Chop Shop t-shirt, a copy of "The Sound Effects Bible," and a Sounds To Sample Elements Library. On top of all that, the winning submissions will also be signed to Beatport's in-house distribution network, Baseware, for official releases. Download a free pack of Halloween sound effects from Blastwave FX and use at least one of them in your production. Yep tbh I think this is the best set of prizes they've ever given away.
Also the sample pack is really good.

I'm definitely going to do something for this comp. I'm feeling some 110bpm Zombie influence coming on. Going to start tonight. The prized are amazing too. Looking forward to hearing everyone else's stuff too!

Nice submission! Like the quotes and the main lead, very high energy!
I uploaded mine...though I realized after I uploaded that it clips in a couple of places...easy fix, but I can't reupload...oh well. And of course, like every major production contest, every comment/vote is just other producers whoring themselves...
