Popular Vocal Reverb (?) Effect

Hey guys, I've looked all over and can't find a thread/tutorial on this. So here I am, asking you guys for guidance.

So the effect I'm looking for is a "looped" reverb type effect used in a number of tunes.

An example;

Link to the part directly: http://youtu.be/9W04IKR1E2M?t=1m25s

It's during the drop if the video doesn't already playing there.

So right before the drop there's the oh so popular vocal sample pause or whatever you want to call it, this song it being "Must Be The Feeling". But throughout the drop you can hear the vocals playing but in a looped sort of way, definitely some sidechain. But it almost sounds like he's loops the 'Ling' off of 'Feeling' with lots of reverb and sidechain compression. It adds such nice backing frequencies and it fits with the sing nicely. Now my question is; Is there a particular method of getting this effect? Any tips from you guys?

Thanks a bunch!

my noob advice is just use a long delay (not a reverb) or just repeat the bit of the sample you want

Yeah just cut that bit out, and paste it 12 times where you want it and change the velocity and filtering accordingly.
