Not familiar with the original, but vibing the intro on this with the birds song. Felt that 3m42s onwards could've done with a beat switch up to keep the last section interesting.

thanks bud, i agree. iv been trying to figure out some sort of switch that still holds it together.

You could either add a new percussive element, or else flip the programming on the hits you've got...switching the rhythm for a few bars or something?
