Benny Dawson - Bounce Maker EP
Well for 24 years plus, "Benny Dawson" has been entertaining people with his infectious brand of music. Starting in
Johannesburg in the early 80's, he had an enormous influence in the creation of the dance culture.
"Bounce Maker" EP seem more interested in delivering a monologue of street wisdom than any compelling machine-noise, the
result is as interesting as anything else the record has to offer, proving a solid framework for nuggets.
The EP is structured with three tracks, every one it's presented in the form of droplet-like notes, which ripple up and down
the scale at lightning speed. Spaced between fat, lopsided bass, its tarnished bursts of synth seem both slightly off-key
and out of time.
