Enchiridion [WIP]

Post by SonnyFnD » Tue Oct 09, 2012 4:56 am

I'm in the mixing process. I'm having lots of trouble EQing. I'm super frustrated, but I'm not giving up. Any tips how I could mix this better? I need all the help I can get.

The kick and snare sound really muffled, like some of their more important frequencies have been dropped off?

In terms of getting them clearer, for the kick I'd suggest some subtractive EQing on the synths/bass so that when the kick hits, the other elements make room for it at that particular frequency.

Snare wise, I'd suggest turning down the reverb tail so it's less splashy and maybe layering it with another sample for some weight in the middle, making it less tinny.

I certainly will. I'm still working on it. Mixing is the toughest part for me. -_-
