Hello all!

So there is two ways (that I know of) to translate MIDI from a VST into audio in Ableton.

-Freeze instrument track then drag it down into an audio track
-Solo desired tracks, then create a re-sampling audio track, hit record then play.

My question is this..

Does both methods include in the new audio what my send and return tracks/ effects were doing to it before it was "recorded"?

Resampling takes in the audio signal of every track playing....aka what goes to the master vol. If you freeze a midi track then drag the clip into an audio track it will only bounce the effects that were on the midi track itself, so sends/return effects will not be preserved in the bounce. If you want the send effect in your bounce then resampling option is the way to go. hope this makes sense!

Makes way more sense for it to work like that. I should've just thought real hard about it :p
