SULLY has remained somewhere at the top of our list of favourite producers for years now with his unique but versatile style, ranging from heavily swung beats reminiscent of UKG legends like EL-B and Steve Gurley, to his own take on Chicago's notorious 'footwork' sound. His debut album 'Carrier', pressed on Dusk & Blackdown's 'Keysound Recordings' last year is a stunning piece of work described as "a short-but-sweet opus that embraces house, two-step, UK funky, purple synths, and juke, with a widescreen, epic vision and Sully’s trademark emotive vistas." Despite this, Sully remains somewhat of an elusive, mysterious figure, and has still yet to debut his talent in Scotland!
For support we've called upon an old friend of the Rumours family, GOST WAN. A key player in the evolution of Glasgow's vibrant electronic music scene, Gost Wan and his crew the Electric Eliminators ran a night called Fortified Sessions, which amongst many notable achievements was one of the first nights to bring the sounds of dubstep to the big GLA back in '06. In recent years he has been running the Fortified Audio label, releasing tracks from the likes of XXXY, Submerse, Cosmic Revenge, VVV, Distal and more. Gost Wan's record collection spans generations of electronic music; we're excited to hear what he's got in store…
Keeping your feet moving and the sound system shaking for the rest of the night will be Rumours residents INDRA, SKANDY and SULTAN.
With the help of our boy PRODU[K]T we will also be adding a few personal touches to the club's decor, in keeping with el 'Dia de los Muertos' which is celebrated that day. Think skully...
