KUTMAH (KXXTZ)

Justin ‘Kutmah’ Mcnulty was born in Brighton, England to an Egyptian mother and Scottish father. Moving to the United States when he was twelve years old, Kutmah grew up in Hollywood, California and ultimately made a name for himself as a talented underground artist & DJ. Intrinsic member of eclectic Los Angeles-based music collective ‘Dublab’, in 2004 Kutmah launched the seminal club ‘Sketchbook’, which forged fundamental foots of the now-infamous LA beat scene. Undoubtedly one of the world’s most respected DJ’s, Kutmah has toured the globe playing with the likes of The Gaslamp Killer, Flying Lotus, Gonjasufi, Dabrye and many more. An integral member of the Tempo Clash family, KXXTZ is guaranteed to blow minds.

LLUM SPHERE

Mary Anne Hobbs, Benji B, Brainfeeder’s Gaslamp Killer, Lorn, Ras G , Daedelus and Radiohead's Thom Yorke have all championed one half of the groundbreaking club night Hoya:Hoya as one of the best UK producers. Winning the BBC 1xtra Urban Music Award, invitations to play at LA institution Low End Theory (the second English person to do so after Mary Anne Hobbs) and joining Red Bull Music Academy in London, through to remix requests from Martyn, Kuedo, Zed Bias and Warp Records, he has become one the UK’s most hotly tipped artists, whilst remaining outside the London hype machine. Add to that his latest critically acclaimed “Birthday” / “h808er” release on Young Turks and another classic Boiler Room mix and you have a man on on incredible form.

BLUE DAISY

Hailed as the future of British electronic music, by DJ and music journalist Mary Anne Hobbs, Blue Daisy is the project of London based artist Kwesi Darko. Daisy was the winner of MOJO’s 2011 Electronic album of the year with his excellent debut LP “The Sunday Gift”. He recently released “The Bedtime Stories EP” alongside Unknown Shapes to more critical acclaim, receiving 4/5 stars in Resident Advisor. Seeing Blue Daisy live is an experience, whether performing live, DJ’ing or MC’ing you will quickly find out why he is one of the UK’s most exciting electronic music producers. He is the energetic hub of the Tempo Clash team and whether he's on the mic or behind the desk the rave is bound to go off.

OFFSHORE

Mutli-talented Ewan Robertson aka Offshore is making some of the most exciting, emotional electronic music coming out right now. The celebrated graphic designer's first release came on the legendary Scottish label, Stuff, leading him to be tied into the scene of Scottish beatmakers spearheaded by Rustie and Hudson Mohawke. Robertson's work, though, perhaps owes as much to the moors, mountains and even folk tunes of his home country as it does to hip hop and inner city London, where he now lives. Offshore is currently prepping his next release for Big Dada - "All the minimalist might of prime Neptunes productions with the flattened crunk of fellow Scot Rustie" - FACT Magazine

QUEST

Tempo Clash welcome Quest along as a super special guest. Quest has become an integral member of Anti-Social and Mala’s Deep Medi imprint, alongside close friend and label mate Silkie. With several high-profile releases under his belt already, Quest’s soulful productions have won an army of admirers worldwide. He is an integral member to the UK Electronic scene and with an upcoming release on Deep Medi expect his live show to be as deep and powerful as ever.

KAHN & THE YOUNG ECHO COLLECTIVE

Kahn has played at Tempo Clash LDN and released a mix for Podcast #2 so it was only right we involved the Bristol native's very own Young Echo crew to take-over room 2. They are a collective of young musicians and producers from Bristol who formed in the winter of 2010 through a shared sense of musical direction and desire to collaborate. Whilst all having releases on various labels including Tri Angle, Punch Drunk and left_blank, the debut collaborative Young Echo album will be coming out soon on Ramp Recordings, featuring material from the whole collective.
