I've been using it for about a year and half now.
And experimenting with it a lot, I use it for almost everything except drums. But I have a small question...
Is it just me... Or does the sine wave suck?
It sounds like it can't be produced very well at all.. My headphones are CS40's, but for some odd reason I can't hear a low sine wave note on Massive properly in these headphones, yet I can hear a low sine wave note perfectly on other programs like Audacity.

I'm talking about any frequency below 56hz. I can't hear them, or get it to mix properly with anything at all.

Is it a headphone problem, or is Massive just terrible at producing a sub bass?

Or Maybe I'm not making a sine sub bass correctly..
Or I'm terrible at EQing it.

I don't know how you wouldn't be able to make one as you just turn the Sine - Triangle or Sine- Square WT position to Sine and don't do anything else for a pure sine wave. And you dont have to EQ sine waves as they are a single tone

YEP! That's what I've been doing wrong. I keep EQing it all the time. I cut out EVERYTHING above 126hz, and boost the EQ by 2 db!
Then I keep forgetting I have another EQ on the Master channel fucking up the sub! XD

if you want pure sub cut it down to 50-80 and don't do anything to it.

tbh i have recently stopped using a straight massive (or any vst) for sub bass.

I will use massive for sub, but only after i bounce it out..

It just seems the levels are much more consistent doing it this way.. try it and it might help

open up massive, draw a 8 second long pure sine note on C, bounce that down, then throw it in a sampler and see if that makes a difference..

call me crazy, but it seems to me the levels just sound a lot more solid and even while playing different notes..

failing that, just use Audacity for yer sub
