Organising My sample Library - Help

Hey guys, been a while since i posed anything, but i have been about, reading the Q&A's and generally lurking..
but yeah, now i have a question for you lot...
I have like 80GB of samples on my PC, and its a nightmare to find the right samples while producing, i spend most of my time skipping through samples just to find something decent and im fed up with it taking so long.
I have about 50 - 60 sample packs and folders with sounds/ samples in, and recently i been thinking i would like to just go through each sample pack and dig out the samples i like, putting all the loops in a folder, all the stabs in a folder, all the pads in a folder, all the bass one shots in a folder, etc, etc....
I have already gone through and re-named a lot of my samples, just by adding the key of that sample... eg "137 Blood Brother 09 Blips xtra Ckey", basically i find out what key that sample is then i rename the end of the file to say "ckey", this way when i am working on a track in the scale of C minor for example, i can just go to my search bar and type in "ckey", and every sample that is in C will come up in the search, making it easier to find samples in the key of the track im working on
anyway, im straying from the point...
what i want to know is your opinions on moving all my samples from all my sample packs into new respective folders, like i say for example all my pads from my 50 odd sample packs into one single "pads" folder
I wanted to know what people think of this before i do it, as it will be kind of hard to un-do it if it all goes tits up
thanks,
ps trying not to sound like an asshole but i have been producing about 7-8 years now and i would like to hear what people with more experience than me think, so please only offer advice if you know your shizzle, again sorry, but im not trying to take advice from anyone with less experince
