Kicks are sounding like they're overly compressed...to the point where I can really hear the sidechaining duck when they hit?

Okay fair play, but the kick only has very little compression on it. I think the fact that it has a kinda rough attack is what gives that impression. I quite like that but I was debating whether it should have a smoother attack for a generally cleaner sound.
Regarding the sidechaining almost every reverb is sidechained reeeaaallly heavily against some invisible kicks so if it sounds drastic then that's the effect I was going for.
I suppose when I said 'do the kicks come through nice' I meant more on the 2nd section of the tune where the edits on the drums are. I wasn't sure if they actually sounded weaker or if it's because the other things going on draw your attention away from them.

What do you guys think?
