Ok guys, I'm biting the bullet and heading off to Amsterdam
at the end of the month with the Mrs.

I've checked the other threads and they're basically saying
to look for "Lost in Amsterdam," "Dolphin" & "Boerejongens"
for the places to go for a smoke, and I'm obvs. going to visit
the Van Loon/Van Gogh/Anne Frank's/Ajax Arena & the canal
boat rides.

Also like the idea of going to some record shops too.

However, those threads are like 4 years old and things change
so if there are any new suggestions, I'd be glad to hear them.

The Jolly Joker's a decent place to shmoke it up. I think it's near the Red Light District. Oh yeah, hit up the Red Light District.

For some decent nights, check out Partyflock. There's gotta be something around the time you're there.

I live like 20 minutes away (by train) from Amsterdam. It's the coolest place evurr.

I'm not a fan of the whole Red light thing. We're staying
outside of the main town (Rembrandtsplein,) but thanks!

Caramel filled. I got stopped at customs with a whole 75 litre backpack full on my last visit.
Also check out the cake shops. The Apple cake is immense.

I'd risk Diabetes for those. They look heavenly!

(Where did you get stopped by customs?)

On the way back from holland in dutch customs. He was suggesting that i was trying to smuggle drugs out in my Stroopwaffles. I assured him that i was just terribly stoned and loved waffles.

They do indeed have customs. I made that mistake on my first visit.

Rush Hour and Trouw.

If hipsters annoy you, cancel the whole trip.

Double drat... I'm going to eat a cake before the journey
home so there won't be any need to try and bring anything
back, but it's always good to know.

Rush Hour looks GRAND! Thank you.

Hipster's don't annoy me that much. I've seen the evolution
of Shoreditch and Dalston. Pretty immune to it now.

not sure they use them though, wasn't it ruled they contravene the EU Bill on Human Rights?

last time i went they had them but I didn't have to go through it. can definitely get away with 'forgetting' about a couple grams in your pocket or bag.

sickest ice tea I have ever tasted in my life. slightly sparkling.

We've already got a place booked but had I known about
this I would have checked it out. Thanks - may be the place
to stay when I go again with the lads.
