De-Esser type plugin on low frequencies

Hey gang
Fiddling with a growl atm and when routed through a vocoder I get these nasty harmonics sometimes in the 140 hz region. I wanna smack some kind of compressor or de-esser on that band that keeps them in check, but I cant find a good plugin that does the trick, mine wont go under 2kHz. I'm super hungover so maybe my brain isn't working properly, but can someone think of a good way to do this, or a plugin?

The de-esser in iZotope Alloy goes from 20-20kHz.

maybe use multiband compression only on the low frequencies (about -20db threshold and high ratio, fast attack and kind of fast release & set the make up gain etc to preference). if you cant fix the problem then notch the frequencies that sound bad & just layer with a cleaner bass and eq it different, layering really helps me for clearing up over processed sounds.

A de-esser won't work. It's designed to lower level on sibilant sounds.

It will work if you set the trigger frequency correctly.
Probably not as effective as mb compression, try a comp with trigger filters like ReaComp, and just let the problem frequencies through.

Imo, Alloy is great, took an interest in it after an article in Computer Music. The presets are surprisngly good too, not as heavy handed as the stuff in Ozone.

I'd say you'd have much more look with EQ than mulitbanding etc.

Yeah I could but that takes away a lot of power since the harmonics occur pretty close to the fundamental frequencies of the sound, so I'd prefer not too. It's actually not that big of a deal, probably not gonna end up using this sound anyway but I think a plugin like this would probably still come in handy. Gonna be checking out Alloy when I get the time so that should be good I think.
