So, Rusko is giving away his tunes...

After spending time dropping albums for Mad Decent (as well as a plethora of releases on Dub Police, Tempa and other established imprints), Rusko is doing it on his own. As of now, he'll be dropping his new tracks for free, with releases on iTunes following, truly giving himself control over his destiny:
The natural thing for me to do is release “KAPOW” myself. How I want. The way I want and at the speed I want. It’s about promotion and not profit – I want to give the fans the music in real time. If they can help me promote it too then it’s essentially what a label does anyway but just without copyright restrictions. The fans are key in the success of “KAPOW.” If you like it, send it to a friend. I just want everyone to be able have my music if they want it.

hmmm...
is it just me, or are these tunes just not that good? (even by rusko standards)
on the label thing, i guess he knows at this point that most of his income would be through touring/gigs/etc & not record sales.

maybe that's because rusko likes to have the monitoring from behind.. lol
though it has to be said, that he's an excellent musician. he knows what he's doing. usually. but then again. i'm talking about his earlier years.
no idea how his music sounds like now. i stopped listening to his stuff after.... you know.

Going along with the general "haven't listened to him for a while", "don't rate them" sorta feeling.
But given that he's gonna be giving away everything from now on, does that mean he'll also give away all his old dubs?
I remember he gave away a few of his old bits in 320 a while back, but is he sitting on more? And any chance of wavs?
To be perfectly honest I can't really think of any old unreleased Rusko dubs...
Maybe I'm just talking shite.

didn't he have some issues with his label on the last album? he's got enough of a profile that he can move on from labels anyway.
