MEAT RACK - Final Teaser (Need Lyricist)

Post by MeatRack » Thu Nov 08, 2012 3:33 am

Here's the last one we're presenting before we start truly developing these tunes and much much more. Have a listen and like our page. (Keep in mind we own zero hardware and do this all off some earbudz and freebiez). Just for fun but not for long.

Trance chords are nice, could do with some layering to beef them a bit, same with that snare that is there, it's a bit on the flat side. Kick again has the same issue in terms of presence in the mix.

The stuff you've put up on here is really promising in terms of sound design/programming/structure of the tracks. However the mixdowns are letting you down. If you read up and work on your mixing and maybe look at some basic mastering for these tunes, I reckon you'd really be onto something :)

I appreciate the feedback! It helps a lot. All we have are ear buds to listen when we make tracks. I threw them on a CD to listen in my car and its A LOT easier to go ok that needs more or take this away, tweak that. Just a matter of us getting some hardware now :/ But right now we are REALLY gonna focus on mastering these for the next two months to perfect them and fix all these issues. Glad you enjoy them though :)

Set of monitors will do wonders for your sound, trust. But keep at it, what you're doing musically is very interesting compared to a lot of stuff I hear :Q:

Oh I bet! As soon as we can afford it we are picking up a lot of stuff :) And thank you once again, it is a big motivator hearing this and we have been getting nothing but positive feedback :D

The notes are SICK. Catchy, how they should be on a good song.
To add on what the others said about the mixdown, your sounds sound cheap. As in they're not industry ready. Think of getting Superior drummer by Toontracks, and Massive by komplete with omnisphere from spectrasonics. Maybe throw in Sylenth.
Great job, keep 'em coming, work hard and you'll get there.

Sweet :D I appreciate the positive words and suggestions. We are currently using Massive and Sylenth. I will look into Superior Drummer and Omnisphere ASAP. And we have another 4 songs that need some tweaking but are basically done. We have been on a roll lately but we do not want to release anymore until we really can master the sounds.
