Can anyone from UK recommend some old 2 step, garage etc?

I made this thread last night an after someone posted links to "future garage" it was locked. I don't want "future garage" I want some info/songs from back in the day that influenced Burial.

I'm a 22 year old American so I have a hazy view of this culture in the UK around those times of the late 90's and early 2000's of bass music. I'd like to learn more about it and listen to some of the awesome tunes made during this time like...jungle, 2 step, garage, etc. Any links to some good songs or some articles or anything on the culture would be cool. Thanks.
Edit: Sorry if some of that was a bit dodgy but Im ripped right now so it's hard to write clear thoughts haha

There is a group of old garage mixes.
Something like the "burial mixes"
where he derived his name supposedly...
I'm sure an older head has a better idea of what I am talking about?

Double edit: I think it was actually the burial dub mixes I was thinking of pay me no mind.

jungle had already morphed into d&b by the late 90s, and the fractionalization-- liquid, tech step, neuro, jump up, etc-- was well underway. also were more than a few overground records by then as well. Dozens of great records came out each week, and even more throwaway records.

thanks guys will have a listen after work. some articles on the culture would be cool too. it interests me reading what influenced Burial...aka warehouse raves, walking back in the streets of South London, etc.

I wasn't referring to that thread I was referring to the other and I want dissing you anyway I was just saying the thread was locked like those two links were totally satisfying to me. Thanks though no need to get all bitchy man.

It was probably locked because there have been multiple threads on this subject. I'm not going to search right now as I'm trying to study (actually distracting myself right now...), but they are here and there are lots of good cuts in those threads.

yeah i suppose i could have found some threads with the search. my bad on that one. awesome tunes though guys. for some reason i cant help but be jealous i wasn't raised in London. idk i just think i would have loved the music so much more than what i was brought up listening to, not that its terrible. i was brought up listening to Sublime, Limp Bizkit, , Korn, Offspring, Dr. Dre, Jedi Mind Tricks...etc etc. not bad but i feel that i missed out an the awesome EDM that was being made in London and I had no idea.

yeah i realize that, just like anywhere. but i think i personally would have gotten into the underground scene in london before it wasnt so underground...had i lived there...
idk for some reason i like music thats fresh and that no one knows about. shit where you dont even know much about the artist. it seems like it makes the music more enjoyable. it may seem a bit hipsterish but i just dont like kids that are like OMG skrillex and they don't even know the first thing about dubstep. it makes me not enjoy the music as much. in fact im a bit sick of the brosteop scene. thats why i want to hear some of the deeper stuff that the original dubstep was based off of. i want to draw inspiration from that, not from popular brostep artists today. that isn't even inspirational.
