So yeah have listened to quite a few songs over the past few months which have made me feel like they are a substitute for all human contact, ie armed with these songs, i wont need to actually be in contact with anyone anymore. Has anyone else ever got the same feeling, and if so with which songs? cheers

actually, yes this was one of those special aspects of dubstep music. Before the front row massive came out and started to collectively orchestrate their hands to the proverbial drops.What happened to doing your own thing? I personally, at the high point of dubstep, went out to the parties to enjoy the tunes at sound system strength and I couldn't give two fucks about anyone else there. Could be me alone in the room.

I just thought, its the way in which i listen to music. I dont go out to clubs (too young), instead I sit there in alone in the dark, curtains drawn, lights of, and zone out to music on a Hi-Fi system.

^^^ exactly . eyes down. skanking in the dark. i used to dance with my eyes closed all the time at dubstep shows. there's nothing wrong with that. now it's not so easy . tho
