I know people post these a lot, but I'm not expecting any good results with such searchterms and most sample packs I find are terribly compressed. Can anyone point me in the direction of some decent sample packs that haven't got their life compressed out of them? Or at least post a site that hosts them? All drums.

Edit: and looking for dry samples. Not some with stupid effects on them

Thomas Penton - not unprocessed, but the hits are very clean and leave you a lot of room to sculpt your own sounds from them. A whole lot more bang for your buck than any of those bullshit vengeance/loopmasters/prime loops packs out there. As far as completely dry, unprocessed samples...you could try some samples aimed at rock musicians...a lot of those samples are pretty unprocessed, but that isn't always a good thing.

Acoustic drums usually arent very processed, and sometimes you get different velocity hits aswell.

:3 these are allll great thanks a lot! I was afraid I'd get a 'LOL USE GOOLGLE' reply but I didn't feel like wading through dozens of packs only to find a few usable samples!

Ehh with not processed I meant without like weird granular shit or chorus or whatever on there. There's a lot of samples like that in most free packs. Probably sampled from tunes, but it's kinda shitty. I don't mind a bit of compression or EQ'ing and the like, just as long as it isn't tooo invasive and gets rid of goodness or gives the sound a weird character.

Check out the erkan pack that's in here, got it from doa a lil while ago. Has nice unprocessed hits
