New one from me, need feedback on this, anyone think it's label worthy?

The tune is decent enough, the mixdown could benefit from another look. Sounds a bit overcompressed in places, like the kick has lost some of it's shape and the snare sounding overly tinny?

I like verything but the weird vocal samples, but that's just my opinion

Maybe I did overuse compression, was trying to get the grittiness of this tune to come out. I'll give the mixdown another look later when I finish work.

Weird is the name of the game with this track mate, I wanted to do something a bit different

Fair enough...I'd suggest getting the grittiness as up as you can during the mixdown, then in theory only a bit of light compression after that should be sufficient.

Thanks for the advice man, appreciated I'll post an updated version when its ready.

There clarity in this track is awesome, I love the delay on the hats and the subtle reverse stuff from 0.25 to 0.28, and the stuff you do with the bass and the vocal sample throughout the track, they sound cool together. I can see what wub is saying about the snare, have you slapped a phaser or something on it?

Nah the only effects on the snare are bus reverb and compression. I think wub is right in that I may have gone a bit OTT with compression, that may be causing artifacts that I probably got accustomed to whilst mixing this tune and then sort of forgotten to fix. It's hard for me to keep a coherant picture of a mix when I work on it 8 hours a day for days on end.

That's why I love your guys feedback, it's a slap to the face when you point out obvious things, but it's neccesary. Thanks

Given the mixdown a real good listen and decided to change a few things.

nice track mate, do think you lost some power in your kick and snare but nice mix ..
