I'm getting my adam a7x's tomorrow and I was wondering if it was possible or reasonable to connect the a7x's to my Logitech z-2300's sub? The z-2300's sub is quite powerful and it has an amplifier built in. The Adam's have amplifiers in them too. If I have the adams connected through the sub rather than directly, will they have an effect on the quality or anything else? I'm sure that I could manage without the sub but I letting a perfectly good sub go to waste would be a shame. Then again, if routing through the sub meant things got over amplified or the sound got distorted or something then it wouldn't be reasonable to do such a thing. And I would hate to do something silly to my brand new speakers. So, as I'm seriously lacking in knowledge in this department, is it safe to connect the adams to the sub? Is it reasonable? Is there anything I should know about what I'm thinking of doing?
Just in case, I don't have an external audio interface yet.
Precaution before action,
Martin

You won't need it. After you've heard the Adams you probably won't want the Logitech sub lowering the quality of your monitoring either.
If I was you I'd hook your Logitech sub up with some other hi-fi or computer speakers wired up separately to your Adams, then use that to compare mixdowns.

^this.
I hear so many people say that having a sub along wiht your monitors is a good idea, but unless I'm missing something entirely, wouldn't that completely defeat the purpose of monitors? because no matter how much you try to even out your sub with your monitors, it's still gonna be off slightly and no longer flat... I just don't get it.
