I am beginning to collect vinyl's for home enjoyment mostly.
I am looking for albums as opposed to singles, as they are better value for money.
I am not just looking for Dubstep, but also the inspirational genres of music that lead to the early movements of Dubstep.
Please list any essential Dub/Dancehall/Motown/Afrobeat/Disco/Rnb/etc,etc... , Dance (anything from techno to 2-step) and Dubstep ALBUMS, that are available on Vinyl Format.
Please no YouTube videos.
3 recommendatiosn in each post is substantial.
Please refrain from saying the phrase, "Anything Deep Medi".
I look forward to hearing your recommendations =)

Essential listening albums on vinyl, dubstep related are for example imho :
Various Production - The World Is Gone
http://boomkat.com/#vinyl/22579-various ... ld-is-gone
The Congos and Friends - Fisherman Style (Rythm and Sound Edit and Mixdown)
http://boomkat.com/#vinyl/21451-the-con ... nd-mixdown
Boxcutter - Glyphic
http://boomkat.com/#vinyl/52484-boxcutter-glyphic
(Three different styles but all very very good music and a real pleasure to explore. These albums are to find to buy on vinyl when You search well for a reasonable price.)
(Not intended to promote Boomkat, but they sell good music and the links are easy to find for me to show this music.)

there are so many threads like this. any way, most essential albums are old and sold out on vinyl = going to have to dig deep into your wallet if you still want to get your mitts on something that wasn't repressed at some point.

Mala - Mala in Cuba
Scientist - Rids the world of the evil curse of the vampires
I am also after Fela Kuti - Unknown Soldier, not an easy find however.

Scientist launches dubstep into outer space? O.o
pinch underwater dancehall was one of my favourite albums for a while so might be one worth adding to the list!
What year was the mala album released?

Discogs and search for yourself. Look at artists you like and click on the labels they've release on.
Its much more enjoyable finding albums by yourself than just being told a list. That goes for all music not just albums and this genre. If you don't have a record store near you.. randomly searching through discogs is the next best thing.

It is nice looking through records myself, however I'm so caught up in work/college/music, that I can't find much time to have a good mooch around. Also, I wouldn't of been able to remember nearly any of my favourite albums from years ago so its great that everyone is jogging my memory.

Aha, this is another early album I had and it served me very well!
Physics Impulse was my favourite tune from it i think.
It's funny how some of my favourite Dubstep Albums are being brought up, apart from "Skream - Skream!", Funnily i have never owned this in any format, but i have got my hands on nearly every Skreamizm album, Outside the box/Watch the ride and magnetic man album, either digitally or cd format. Maybe it is time i finally got ahold of this (Skream!) on Vinyl would be nice =)
