i just think it's exploitation to ask djs to spend hours and hours promoting the night on the off chance they'll get a gig which could be at an hour that the club is absolutely empty out

i'll spend a while posting my mix around facebook, and asking my mates to listen to my mix, the exact same as i would if i just made a mix of my own accord.

i think i'm coming accross as angrier than i am..
I appreciate that it's very likely that there'll be many many entries and so they won't have time to listen to every single one
and I don't have an answer as to how else to initially whittle it down to a shortlist
i just find it jarring that there's so many dj competitions these days where there's at least an initial step that relies on likes listens etc. whilst carrying somebody's logo

Ever wanted to play alongside Dubstep don Plastician in one of London's leading underground clubs? Well Cable have teamed up with Plastician and his highly regarded Terrorhythm label to offer a great opportunity to all budding DJs out there.
1st prize is a DJ gig, warming up in the main room at the forthcoming Cable presents 10 years of Terrorhythm showcase, here on Friday 7th December. 2nd and 3rd place win a Terrorythm Goodie Bag and VIP entrance to the event.
The contest is open for everyone who uploads a DJ mix to their Soundcloud or Mixcloud page between November 22nd and December 4th. To stand a chance of winning, simply upload a mix of between 30 and 60 minutes in length. You also need to include the Terrorhythm artwork below as your Soundcloud / Mixcloud image and include the event link listed below in the description.
