Xmas shopping steez.
Looking for an immensely strong but tasty beer to get for my brother as a christmas present. Needs to be reasonably priced (i.e. not £15 a bottle) and preferably available online.
All help appreciated, big ups.

Singha or Chang.
Love them.
And they're strong.
Thai beer available in most places it seems.
I can get it here in SA but not in big bottles.

Taedonggang Beer. Brewed in Pyongyang, North Korea. Similar to British ale in taste.

No 11.5% beer/lager is going to taste nice, i don't care how posh the bottle is

Bottle of Brew Dog "Toyko" will set you back a tenner though if you're wanting a budget alternative;

WRONG
There are others not specifically 11.5% but 10+ which are lovely!!!

The tramp juice brands usually do (Tennants, Special Brew etc). But I've had some of the Brew Dog 13/20% stuff and it's not half bad.

really tasty but maybe not strong enough for what you're looking for:
Augustiner Maximator
approx. 2€ a bottle.
similar price but way stronger (12%): Schneider Weisse Aventinus
it's a wheat beer though...probably not for everyone.

I can suggest (from the list)
Dulle Teve
Gulden Draak
Kasteelbier
Malheur
Oerbier
Rochefort 10
Straffe Hendrik
Westvleteren 12
are the ones around 10% I know and I like
could ask a mate whose done every beer in the Belgian beer book (admirable) but then you'd have to wait a week or 2
