Yeah he's got some pretty crazy sounds in there. Not my favorite tune of his though.
7 year old BROstep/Trapstep/Chillstep producer from India. Young. Talented. 7 Years Old. Super skilled for age. Signed to NOW22. Biography written in 3rd person on soundcloud OBVI. The next Skrillex. Wait I don't even like him anymore LOL. Super talented. Only 6 years old.
Am I the only one who finds the mix realllly hard to listen to? I dunno if it's really limited and he's sidechaining a lot, but it's like he's trying to make everything sound huuuuge at once.

Nope, getting the feel off the track. He's made a decent enough go at the mastering but the mixdown is trying to spin too many plates at once and leaving it a bit out of sorts as a result.
I didn't actually think the drums were that great. Just Vengeance samples with heaps of transient and a digital-sounding reverb (eg KarmaFX). The reverb might have been gated.
Of course if you want to sound like those drums, sample them out of the start.

Yeah it's really odd and unnatural sounding. I literallly can't listen to it much more than 10 - 15 seconds without getting really irritated by it.
Fair to him and his fans that people are into him, so I'm not trying to rain on anybody's parade here. But I just can't listen to it myself. I've been putting a loooot more effort into my mixdowns these past few months so I guess it's rubbing off on me :p

I get what you mean. There's too much being thrust in your face at once - and I'm a bro/electro fan.
As for the drums they sound like standard electro drums, nothing too groundbreaking.
I'm not big on brostep or anything but I think in terms of the scene Xilent's one of the better ones. His drums are pretty bog standard though, any track on UKF has the same style of kick and snare but I've always been interested in his melodies and creative sound design. He said in an interview a while back that he was thinking about starting an ambient side project, been hoping for any news on that, haha.

That would be amazing, his synth work is always amazingly well done, so an ambient side project from this guy might spark my interest!
