YAgree with most of that list (that I've heard), would suggest the Kiyoko - Sea Of Trees should be on the list as well, but overall not bad as far as the epicentre of Hipstechno can manage.

Quite a few similarities with my own List. Didn't include Voices from the lake because it is technically a mix.

Predictable is the only word that comes to mind

Classical Curves was as boring as they come. Strawberries was the only track that I bumped repeatedly.

I completely gave up on checking RA for anything after that review of KU:PALM

tbf I thought KU:PALM was pretty mediocre outside of a few standouts.

I loathe the vocal tunes, but the rest of the album is pure fiyah
Anyway, even if you don't like it, it's nowhere near as bad as they made it up to be imo.

Was 2012 the year of the disappointing album?
Loads of artists on that list I really rate, and no albums that I ever want to listen to again.
Probably only Clubroot and The xx that I was really looking forward to that delivered.

That's what I was thinking, but there were loads of good albums. It's just that the ones I was most looking forward to were total disappointments for me (Mala in Cuba and Shackleton's).
Hyperdub were on a roll with albums this year (Terror Danjah, Scratcha DVA and Cooly G's were all great; even the LV and Laurel Halo ones, which I didn't like at first, grew a bit on me). Same goes for Keysound with Keepers Of The Light and Dasaflex. And the Ruff Sqwad comp if that counts.
Then there's Geiom, Brackles, J:Kenzo, Photek, Data, Commix, Enei, DRS, Jon Convex... + other alright ones

That's my point. Yeah there were plenty of good albums, but from all the people that I was expecting amazing things from, everything was a dud.
