I've always wanted to have a nose around the male profiles on OKC to see how other people do it. Does anyone really expect to get results advertising themselves like that?!
man, so glad to be back in the game.
From talking to friends, it seems girls have a much harder time than boys on OKC and other dating sites... the only advice available seems to be to answer lots of questions and don't even contemplate meeting anyone who matches less than 90%.
Oh, and as a female, do the approaching yourself if you can IMHO... I was on there for a year or so and pretty much only dated girls that approached me which seemed to work out fairly well - I think a lot of guys get stuck in the "She's hot, send message; She's hot, send message; She's hot..." cycle, not really reading profiles and probably try to play the virtual field a bit. Find a guy that looks attractive/sane/interesting and reel the poor bastard in with your killer opening lines.
Good luck! It can work... honest...

I would've said the same a few years ago, but I think most of my single mates have had a go recently and amongst the 4 people I took out from it, found the two best girls I've ever dated. Couple of raver friends ended up getting married at Glade because of OKC. I'm becoming a bit of an evangelist.

@magma
i don't think OKC works in a country like this tbh. probably nobody on there from iceland, and the hookup culture is strong here..
i'd have more luck finding a new scandinavian luvah getting shitfaced at the bar and being approached because i look so ''exotic''

Yeah, I think it probably helps being in a city as big as London... it was the bar experiences that convinced me to go online in the end though. Meeting people drunk/high in loud places is a
great way to get laid, but it turned out to be a really bad way to find someone I can actually spend more than 3 hours with and not want to surgically remove their vocal chords.

The more I read of these, the more she just seems like a bit of a bully tbh.
Who hurt her?

err... a "Nice guy."

Actually think she has a point... "nice" guys don't walk around
calling themselves nice guys - they just are. The stuff about
obligation highlights something slightly sinister in their thought
processes - i.e. thinking they are nice people but actually being
far from it and not realising/acknowledging it.
