because Anglo-Saxon people generally don't have a clue.

Could take or leave Amon Tobin tbh. But the organisation released a sneak preview of the planning per genre per stage last week and that was looking good. I'm deffo there again.

An entire day of 'Back to the Roots Dubstep' at Elektropedia stage should promise awesomeness for example (also one complete Techno night and one d&B/jungle night), some breakcore/noise and a couple of obscure metal bands. Should be fun.

Don't know if I'm going this year. Didn't go last year and I didn't really miss it (that includes the rain and mud).
Back to the roots of dubstep and the 12 hours non-stop techno thing seem fun though. Might go 1 day or 2 days if my friends are up for it and the names don't suck.

Bitterly disappointing announcement today.

Roots of Dubstep = 4 hours of Skream + Sgt. Pokes. That's utter crap to be honest. Fuck I'm so disappointed.

Also, other names : NU:LOGIC, care, might still be better than Logistics though.
Smashing Pumpkins: Dour Main Stage is impossible, the worst sound always, so probably pass even though they have some decent songs.

Very very very very tempted indeed. Would quite like to go to a European festival this summer and Dour is fucking amazing.

Is it? I don't even think it's supposed to be a dubstep set. I thought it said electro/techno/etc? So the Roots of Dubstep shit might be something else

Who was it off this forum that I was talking to that I figured out went to dour the same year as me? Was it you by any chance?

Also names they announced today are lame. Still interested in what they'll announce next.

The warm-up party on the camping sounds fun though.

09-10-11-12 for me. I was not back in the country until late 2008.

I suppose this could happen in the DanceHall too. But if this is the night slot for the roots of dubstep night (which is 4 Hours), that would be the end of dubstep at dour. Last year was already terrible.

Hrm, let me guess what your real name is :D (agreed with most of what you said btw)

have to agree tho, roots for 4 hours would convince me, the other stuff is just not for me I guess.. Not really been that into techno/electro and if I wanted to get involved in it, I wouldn't go to see him tbf

Andy C, d&b smith could be :o , hoping for the oldschool/jungle stuff :)

Dour peaked in 2007 and 2008 and I had to skip 2007. After that it was on a pretty steady decline. I might skip it for Outlook this year, if my friends go too

I think I went either 07 or 08

The one with Wu Tang, DJ Shadow, Autechre, Venetian Snares, Wolf Eyes, Sunn O))), Merzbow, Om, Converge, Cinematic Orchestra, Stones Throw night etc?

for me like many, this is probably the only summer festival that a) Is close by enough and affordable b) you only have to ask for 2 days off from work to go.

I hate pukkelpop, it makes me feel old and withered. And out of touch. Werchter is just radio music at outrageous prizes and good luck getting a tomorrowland ticket.
So this should be like the highlight of the summer man. Unless I can find a great holiday destination for September (ahem, DIMENSIONS). But indeed, the line-up is in decline ever since 2008 which I think had DMZ?

I was pretty late on the Dour party; 2010 I think.

Don't think I'm going this year, my friends don't really want to. And I'm not really feeling it myself either.
Probably going to do 1 day of Tomorrowland (saturday probably, day that had the best techno artists in the last few years, and Ketaloco), Balaton and Dimensions.
