Are there any places I can view tab for knife party, skrillex etc type music too see how the chorus's "drops" are arranged. To me it sounds like they are shifting from low octaves to high ones with stuff inbetween if that makes any sense at all haha

Probably a stupid post but wondering if anyone has any tips or guides on this type of thing. Thanks!

Wow there buddy u mean tabs as in guitar tabs? The only reason you'd need some is if you was bout to upload a shitty video of you doing a cool guitar dubstep cover on youtube. You know you're not supposed to do that...

This is what happens when people completely clueless about electronic music start getting into it.. They want lyrics to sing along to, physical equipment for producing and talk about producers as "dj's" or even "bands".

To answer your question, it's a piece of software programmed in a way to make that sound. It's more about sound design and rhythms rather than what notes it hits.

Merry christmas!

I thought I'd look a total **** saying "Brostep" so I just put it more plainly. I come from playing guitar and now I am trying to get into this. What I mean't was like, examples, like how in rock music its power chord riffs, that sort of thing but like this.

Like, the arrangement. To different types of music there is like a convential arrangement/structure like in rock music say intro, verse chorus etc using power chords and riffs if that makes sense.

Intro -> Bass enters -> Bass leaves for a tribal percussion solo, bongos and shit -> Bass reenters deeper and with an added twist -> Throw a couple of "Jah!" samples in -> fade the track into the sunset

well i'm sure pretty much no one uses power chords as in 1st, fifth and the octave. usually the bass synth in a tune is one single note and not a chord
