Mixdown is very LOUD...the videogame elements are drowning out nearly everything else when they're playing.

Ok, gotcha. I'll make sure to work on that.

Ok, I think I fixed it, but I didn't save my file prior to exporting....so I couldn't recreate what I had did in the original.

I think I did better with the mixdown, but now I think the kick is a little too heavy.

its a nice tune and all but some(not all) of the video game sounds are really loud. almost ear piercing if i were to turn it up any louder. work on lowering the highs so they match better with the lows. should come out cleaner and easier on the ears.

Which one, the first or the second one? I know the first one is really piercing, but the second one as well? I'm trying get this mixdown stuff perfected.

With time your ear will get accustomed to the proper volumes of all elements.
Try EQing/limiting/gating/compressing/saturating instead of playing with the volume maybe.
