This article pretty much sums how I felt whenever I went out to any "student nights" from the past couple of years at uni

i often get dragged along to that exact night

the key is to get drunk enough you don't notice how terrible it is

I have never, and will never agree to be part of something like that.

By accepting and going along with it as it's "okay when ya smashed" is no excuse.

the insecure annoying stupid dickhead side of things wear tight shirts and enjoy casual sexism and shit lads is awful.

however extreme partying and not being a knob lad culture is ok. things like power hour are fun

scumbags the lot of 'em, had the misfortune of being stuck with a #lad in halls last year

I got no problem with getting drunk and being dumb, but 'lads' are so fucking annoying. They look like they been dragged through river island b2b topman and they go to the worst clubs with the worst music and talk about the worst things

I went to uni in my own city and it was embarassing to be associated with stnuc like that... most of the student population needs a good, hard slapping.

I recently moved to Leeds, my missus goes to the uni. So many stnuc on nights out. Been to a fair few nights where people are safe though

It`s always the students being nobs though, in general. Best places to go are where they`re kept to a minimum with a significant cross-section of real people present...

I recommend Mint Club, Stinky`s Peephouse and Northern Light for venues They generally attract a big range of people. Same with the West Indian centre at one of the psytrance or hard house nights!

felt sorry for this guy, who seemed to have turned up on some Doncaster warehouse rave circa '92 tip, but had to settle for a room full of kids dressed as Smurfs necking Red Bull. He'd probably leave if he could move his jaw to ask for directions.
