Advice for buying a MIDI Controller

Post by since » Fri Dec 28, 2012 1:10 pm

Hello to everyone,

I want to first wish you a merry christmas, this is my first post on this forum. My english isn't so good, so please forgive me if I write something not correct.

I want to buy a MIDI Controller, and I need a little advice.

I'm thinking of three devices :

Akai Pro - SynthStation 25
M-Audio Oxygen 25
M-Audio Oxygen 49

This will be my first controller, I have a little musician aspects, I'm playing guitar a little while. I want to study and make a little dubstep music because this genre is very interesting for me.

Thank you for the replies and for the advice.

Regards,

Those are all good choices. Depending on how serious you are, I'd recommend the Oxygen 25 as it's the cheaper of the options.

Failing that, another good one would be the Akai MPK25;

as it has rotaries knobs for controlling parameters, as well as a set of pads if you want to record in your drums for a more natural feel.

i think you should go for the oxygen 49, its not too expensive and has enough keys plus knobs and sliders. thats pretty much everything you need
