I posted the last tune I uploaded here last week and it got a fairly good response so I figured I'd upload this newly completed tune. Please let me know your thoughts and comments!

Soundcloud

Thanks for taking the time to listen, I realize that most people probably don't have the time to listen to a 9 minute tune but the tune does progress and evolve throughout the 9 minute piece. I upload regularly on my soundcloud so be sure to follow if you enjoy the sounds you're hearing!

Like the pad development work going on here. Drum beat is slightly on the tinny side, like the snare is quite thin when it's hitting. Liking the left panned percussion, maybe bring that up a bit more of else have it with a bit more movement, it's a good sound.

Break at 4m is nicely lead into, though maybe consider having at least a bit where the drums aren't present at all to let the synth sounds come through a bit more...at the moment that's only really briefly at 5m40s where there are no drums at all.

Same with the final section from 5m50s onwards, drums are still a bit thin and could maybe do with beefing up (depending on the style you're going for), and maybe vary the programming slightly...though the bass noise which sounds like a plucked string ( ? ) is lush.

Overall, am ambititous piece and handled pretty well :Q:

Thanks wub! I'll definitely look into making the drums have more body, maybe making the section with no percussion a bit longer as well. That plucked bass noise to which you're referring is an acoustic upright bass that I made with Trilian. Great VST if you can afford it and have the extra 40gb of harddrive space!

Thanks again, man!
