Anyone still use Albino 3?
Hello!
Anyone here still use Albino 3 here frequently? I still think it is a great sounding VST.

I been using it constantly for about 3 years. First synth I ever used and managed to understand how to use synths with. Sat 3 is the one !

I use it mostly for layering in the background and mostly bass sounds. I don't really like the arpeggiator on it.

Now that it's being discontinued, I really wish they would make albino 3 a freeware synth. I've heard it's the synth that alot of the older dubstep producers use (people like Rusko and Komestar) and since that's the sound I'm aiming for I'd really like to give it a go, but it's kind of frustrating that it's been discontinued and the demo emits a noise which makes it unusable.

I imagine there will be a cut down version appearing on the Computer Music DVD in the not too distant future.
Re: Anyone still use Albino 3?
I don't use synths that often besides basses, but yeah, I use albino when I do. It's so easy to navigate and sounds way better than the other popular soft-synths imo
Re: Anyone still use Albino 3?
I sent Linplug an email about this recently. This is what i wrote and got replied:
"I just want to say that Albino 3 is still the most inspiring, unique sounding VST for creating own sounds and at the same time having an inspiring GUI and musical approach. I was sad to hear that it will be discontinued. A lot of the newer VSTs today lack what Albino just made right from the beginning in features and sound.
I just wonder will you come up with a follow up to Albino 3 or in any way something similar new like this VST?"

"thank you for your mail and the kind words! We actually work on a new synthesizer which is expected to appear 2013 and be our new flagship synth. You can expect a lot of our typical features, sound and handling in this new instrument. I cant give you any more details yet, we're just trying first prototypes of it.
Best regards

Would someone be a me to use a cracked verson? Just curious seing as its not going to be in production anymore. Or is tere something specific in the Eula?
Re: Anyone still use Albino 3?
Still use Blue more than Albino but I do bust it out every now and again. Just prefer the workflow in Blue, it's more flexible and multi-purpose too (imo)

Re: Anyone still use Albino 3?
I was never able to get Albino 3 to work on my laptop. Albino 2 ran just fine but albino 3 would always give me errors when I tried updating. I spent so much time with their technical support they started to know me by name. Eventually I just gave up on it and I still use Albino 2. I personally still use it constantly. I'd say it makes an appearance in pretty much every project I've ever made since I got it. I just really like some of their Spectral waveforms and they make for some really interesting sounds.
Re: Anyone still use Albino 3?
I read somewhere they plan on making albino patches available on their new soft synth, but rob papen bitched out and said that his patches wouldn't be available or something. So I'd imagine the interface would be similartokamusic wrote:I sent Linplug an email about this recently. This is what i wrote and got replied:
