Mods please move this to the correct sub-forum if this isnt the place...

So a buddy of mine who used to DJ is moving and was going to toss this stuff, IDK what it is (except the Bose & sub) and if there is anything I can do/learn from it. I am a super-noob and a good understanding of this hardware might just be helpful. IDK if any of it works, how many times it hit the deck, nothing. Tomorrow Ill start plugging in things and see what happens. Im good with DC and good with a multi-meter so I may be able to fix something if its worth it.

5 Cool little Bose system really hope it works. Need to fashion a power cable and bass knob

6 RCA "Powered Super Woofer". Hooked it to my Sony surround sound center channel (50w) and it made bass just very little of it. Not very heavy for a powered subwoofer. Less than half the weight of the Bose unit and they are the same size.

Can anyone tell me what this stuff is? Worth anything? Worth using?

Thanks!

Silly question, but if you want to find out what it is and how much it's worth, have you considered Googling the make/model of each unit?

Pretty much what forums are for, as far as I know. If someone posts on Helifreak they just got this box of old AM/FM heli stuff Im not gonna tell them to google each servo/gyro/rx/tx/esc/motor etc. They probably dont even know what a gyro is just like I dont know wtf this stuff is. So I help them. Its what the forum is for. Well, THAT forum is like that, and most every other worth posting on.

And I figured with all the brainpower on this forum someone would know right away what it is. I really dont care what its worth, just curious. And honestly for how old this stuff is, I figured someone would appreciate looking at some old hardware they may have used back in the day.

Why not just ask your friend who gave it to you...

beefcake - I commented.
It is an old hi-fi.
Nothing more to be said really.
You have an Equalizer, tape deck with dual tape players, AM/FM stereo Receiver and a Bose Surround sound system.
