hi guys..
i'm kinda new here and new to dubstep and music production.. i just want to ask something..
me and my friends are planning to make a band and want to add some dubstep mix into our songs so i'm here to ask what
kind of software/DAW should i be using? and btw i also have a yamaha213 for me to use as a midi controller is it good enough for midi controller or do i have to buy a new one..

Any daw will do honestly. Reaper is quite cheap and that'll do fine.

You can be on your way, as soon as you find a daw to your liking.
Then basically look up some tutorial on making the sounds you want.

i just downloaded the demo version of fl studio 10 i think ill try this first..
ill also try what you suggested, is reaper good for performing live?

Ableton is probably the best live perfomance daw out there.

Although I really don't like it, sequencer is a pain in the neck. Tried Logic Pro at school for a few days, that's the tits.
Great mixing interface.

I've tested around 8 of the most populair daws and my favorites are definitely Reason, Pro Tools and Logic.
Pro Tools mainly for it's engine though, it's a bit awkward for mixing sometimes.
