Another Work In Progress. It'd be much appreciated it if you gave some brutally honest constructive criticism or any tips in areas you feel are lacking. Thanks for the listen!
Send me in the direction of your tune and i'd gladly return the favor!

I don't mind Evanesence all things considered.
The kick/snare are slightly on the flat sounding and could do with some processing to get them to come through in the mix a bit more. Also would've liked to hear a slightly more prominent hat pattern, it only becomes really apparent in a couple of places.
Good job on the vocal processing, fits nicely with the backing track

I guess its back to the drawing board with my drums again lol. I just cant seem to get it right. What would you suggest to get them sounding less flat? Ive honestly processed them to the best of my knowledge already. But i have always had a problem making my hats cut through the mix and be wider as well. Any info would be much appreciated! Thanks for the listen

Maybe try experimenting with some reverb to give them a bit more prescence in the mix?

Couple of tricks you could try;
1) Making the hats ever so slightly sidechained to the higher end frequencies of your synths, so that when the hats hit they 'flutter' a specific EQ range in and out on the synth, creating space for them to come through
2) Some kind of light panning so they're moving from side to side a little more...would make them stand out, especially if you have a lot of elements already in the centre of the mix.

Not sure what you're using, but most DAWs should come with a panning effect as standard (FL's is called Panomatic or something)

i think the drums are pretty good. just need more reverb, i suppose and add some crash cymbals in the drop.

There are crashes in the drop i guess i just have to make them cut through the mix more which ive been having a lot of trouble doing. Would i want to cut my bass around like 7-9Khz or something? Everytime i cut for cymbals and crashes my bass seems to be lacking after.
And Wub I use ableton. I tried panning and i am definitely going to do that alot more.
I was watching the Dodge and Fuski masterclasses and they said that the higher up in the frequency spectrum a sound is the wider you would want it. So is panning just the same as a stereo effect?
Say i duplicate my crashes and pan one all the way to the left and one to the right. Does that mean that absolutely nothing from that sound is mono? And is that the same as using a stereo effect?
Thanks again guys!!

reminds me a lot of some Oceanlab remixes. I think it's pretty good, lot of low frequencies, maybe benefit from some higher stuff in the drop. good job!
