Orchestral Metalstep or I something like that

Hi

I just joined this forum. I usually do orchestral stuff, but because I like dubstep ( though i am not used to compose it at all ) and metal as well, I decided to try some crossover of these 3 styles.
I did it for first time, just to give it a try and see if this is a possible direction to go. Couple of people already listened to it, they like it, but always pointing me, that drums are not good. When
I asked them, what particularly - if it is arrangement or chosen sounds of drums - i couldn't get answer. I personally thing, that my dubstep drums arrangement are weak and there's plenty of rooms
for improvement... and where i could find better advice, than here :-)

BTW: If this style has its name already, tell me ;)

Agree re; the drums, the snare is particular is a bit on the thin side and could maybe do with being layered with something with a bit more power in it.

OP - For me on kick arrangement, I find that variety really goes a long way. What I mean by this is having the kick patterns constantly change, not greatly but just enough to keep the song moving. I'm learning to get better at layering sounds. I also find that good reverb use on your snare helps a lot. I know a lot of big artists use cymbals and crashes on their snares to get some snap to it. It works, I starting doing that too recently.
