Drums don't have as much power as they could. Also felt the arrangement was a bit repetitive, even over the course of the 2mins.

most tracks are repetitve nowadays anyway, ive heard major artists not even change the style up over the curse of a 5 min track...

OP - Possibly if the loop is ridiculously sick, but certainly there are breakdowns and buildups that create subtle variation to keep the track alive. I've never heard a major artist play the same loop for 2 minutes.

the bass sound is actually pretty good the sub is sounding great - wub is right though - even very minor, subtle changes can keep it moving along.

I agree with the loop thing.

First rule is the more interesting a loop is the longer it can be played for before it's boring. (e.g it has to have so much going on in there that each time it comes round again you are essentially discovering something new)

And 2nd as already mentioned, if loops do carry on for a while then a lot of variations have to happen to make the brain feel like it is hearing something a bit different (e.g drum fill at the end of each phrase, certain sounds changing, automation on filtering/reverb etc)
