New DJ Controller Help?

Post by RawFrequency » Mon Jan 28, 2013 4:19 pm

Ok so when I started out making some mixes I bought a Hercules mp3 E2- yeah pretty lame etc. I know, but it gets the job done and to be honest, I have a lot of love for it! Well everything is going great atm and I want to upgrade. I am on a very tight budget of around £220 and was aiming to get a better DJ Controller- I know I should invest in CDJs and a mixer or something but I don't have the money or space for that.

What controllers would you guys recommend? It seems the Numark Mixtrack Pro is a popular choice, but I thought I'd see if there are any better options you guys can suggest :)

Thanks for your time!

i like my mixtrack pro, i like having the big platters, gives you a lil of that "feel" lost in a lot of controllers....the lack of gain has me looking to upgrade though. you can map one of the knobs to gain in tracktor but i think i prefer serato, traktor and serato both have their pluses and minuses imo and i dont think you can map with intro. So yeah i have mixed reviews about the mixtrack pro tbh. I havent had a chance to look and see what i would get instead though.

Yeah that Behringer one looks interesting, might hold off on buying anything for a month or so as it seems a few companies are bringing out new stuff soon- I think there is a Mixtrack Pro II being released in Feb?
