David Soltany - Ascendo Tuum (Orchestral Dubstep Mix)
Hey guys,
Here's an attempt of mixing two worlds, orchestral music and dubstep, since I like the way both genres are connected (in terms of hours of programming) I thought I could share it with you :
Soundcloud
Enjoy !
PS: A youtube account is coming soon for other works

this is very interesting. i like it
but the mainbeat/break could be a little louder imho.

Nice idea, agree the drums are a bit on the quiet side in the mix and could benefit from being brought up a bit.

Thanks guys for your feeds !
I agree with you and to be honest I already boosted the beat for the youtube release
The only fear I had at that time was the harsh contrast between each parts and not being able to give justice to these timpanis over the beat (which are the reason of this demo).
Trying to use orchestral timpanis in a non conventional way without being smashed by a dubstep beat is quite tricky haha.

Hey David,
I really enjoyed this one too, the orchestral part is very beautiful (as usual with you) and so the dubstep part too (which is a little short, but I think it is an artistic choice).

Thanks David !
I would even say it's a "demo" choice, but I think I'll explore it deeper once I have time to do it !
