rackemrackrackrackrackrackrackrackrackrackRACKBALL

suppose you have your drum rack, and you bus shit outta there using returns within the rack (setting the return to go to one of your main returns)... and you place some tarish after the drum rack, does that get put in? or does that just get put into the main track output (probs right)

EXAMPLE TIME
imagine dish shii on a track yo

midi in---->drumrack----------------------------------------> compressor -----> shhhaturation(thats a hard one to say)->blah(out)

*kickerschmee---------[send A tazen= blah] [send B racknschmee = blah] [send C shwoop = blah]
*snarenschmee--------[send A tazen= blah] [send B racknschmee = blah] [send C shwoop = blah]
*hatsnschmee---------[send A tazen= blah] [send B racknschmee = blah] [send C shwoop = blah]

A tazen--------------- [track output= D main schmee]
B racknschmee------ [track output= E smaller schmee]
C shwoop------------- [track output= F tarishtazenleshclebetbahebdapet]

the compressor and the saturation wouldnt take effect to whats being sent out correct? so i'd have to set up separate audio tracks and bus shwatever from there?

any way to set it up so i have that(everything being sent through the compreshor and saturation) being sent out within the drum rack? (prob setting up another return*within the rack*<compresh/sat>, sending everything there, and then to the individual returns*within the rack*<A,B,and Schmee> right?) the only problem i see with this is that once i choose however much is going to the <compresh/sat bus> i wont be able to control the inivid amts from there going to <A,B,and Schmee>, only the full amt of the <compresh/sat> return.

of course this is all so i can choose how much i want from each individual sound to get to each return

lol heres some corn :cornlol: :cornlol: :cornlol: :cornlol: :cornlol:

In the time it took you to write this stupid post, surely you could have just set up a rack and tried it?

sometimes i wake up at night asking myself questions like OP does
deciding to try it out instead of just going back to sleep can ruin your life, so consider yourself warned.

He's confused as to how signal comes out of drum racks. It's a bit more convoluted than that as he's using AUX processing.

Basically you need to learn how to perform a scientific experiment. Develop a way to find out what you're asking in your program and test it as many ways as you can.

Hate it when that happens, especially when the idea you have turns out shit. :u:

ive tried different ways, including racks in racks in racks and whatnot, but i can't seem to think of another way to do what i'm asking other than by copying the compreshor and shaturator on every hit i have, then sending each to <A,B, and Schmee>......

i guess i could just reshample and then throw it all back into the rack and then send it to <A,B, and C>

blah reshampling

i guess it also cuts back on sheeeeeeeeePU

well im off to tarish some tazen 8)
