Hi there, I'm in a rush at the mo so only had a chance to listen to the first track but will give you some quick feedback! First thing to say: There is potential there. I can see that although you are learning production at the moment, there are good musical ideas there. What are you aiming for though? What is your creative goal? Are you simply trying to be creative in whatever way possible, or would you like your tracks to be spun by a DJ? If the former, then simply hone your production skills. As far as they go, the mix lacks definition, and could do with a lot more separation between sounds, and definition on individual sounds. If you are aiming for the latter, and would like your track to by played by a DJ, then you must pay more attention to the structure of your tracks. By that I mean clearly defined intro's, breaks, and drops. This is achieved structurally and tonally. Try and avoid having too much bass in intro's breaks. At the moment it all sounds very 'progressive' and a bit all over the place ... I can recognize this because my first musical love and inspiration was the progressive metal band Dream Theater. When I finally got into electronic music, structurally i was used to everything being progressive, but alas, it is difficult to pull this structure off within the constrains of what people seem to be doing here, and the electronic music I made didn't really 'flow'. Looking back I see it now, I just wish someone had explained it to me like that.

Overall very promising though. Just keep listening and learning, try not to go back to old tracks too much. Just move on to a new one, it will sound twice as good as the last if you have learned just a couple of important things from your last effort.

Peace!

Over-compressed.

Ease off on the master buss compression and use EQ to make room for different parts of the mix, they're all fighting for space and it's coming off as quite muddy. There are big sounds in there but not everything can be big in all frequencies at all times.

some good ideas but your production is lacking (as you said). some of your main synths aren't hitting hard because there's no depth to them, layer them with other waves that subtly add character to them. it shouldn't affect the sound you want but it will affect the product greatly. best advice i can give you is to start over another song and keep making new songs until you're as good as you can be!

Hello. You need to work on your mixing. Also, your creativity, At 1:30 i thought you sampled skrillex. There are some cool moments, but you still need to learn some shit. Keep up guys.

thanks for the criticism!! we really do need it! mastering is still something we are working on and its getting harder and harder but im sure once we've passed that it'll be easier and more fun...i hope haha

we didnt sample skrillex but who knows, maybe subconsciously something leaked into the song haha

if anybody can help us master?? we are willing to give you guys the ableton files so you can have a go at it. i think it would be interesting to see what comes up.

Every piece of advice I had was covered in this thread. If you take the advice given here about structure and mixing, I think you guys will have some top tunes. I messaged you guys on soundcloud about a remix, I can also mix and master as best I can for fun.
