YO wassup

I'm really getting into dubstep production at the moment,

however there is one thing that I'm mostly struggelin with..its the drums..

I just cant make them sound as awesome as I hear them in professional dubstep....

I dont mean the mix especially , what I mean is the pattern.

Could anybody please explain to me what exactly makes a good Dubstep drumbeat that creates this "soaking" feeling!?

Please help!

Peace

REVERB MATE.

think that's what you mean by soaking no?

there are no rules when it comes to patterns. play around.

Hehe...sorry I couldnt desribe it any better.

Well its not Reverb because I use that but usually if I listen to some good 2 step drums or dubstep they "suck" (lol) me into the song....thats what i meant....

i took a look at shuffle beats and syncopation now and it really worked, I#m impressed,

I'll upload some of my stuff in the mixes area soon so you guys can check that out.

Thanks to all of you who helped and those who were contributing with their jokes x)

Peace

I believe with things like this practice makes perfect...

Just making heaps of beats is the only way to go, learn from the mistakes and all that.... Just like an actual drummer won't be the greatest at first even with all the tips and tricks...

Being a producer of electronic music on the pc i think its important to think of the computer as an instrument to be respected, not a short cut like it is for most tasks..

Anyway, rant over... wasn't trying to direct it at you personally if thats how it came out... just make lots of beats and enjoy!!
