First off, I am sure many of you still live with your parents and are going to school so this might not apply. Personally, I still live with my parents but must pay rent and I am looking to move out in a matter of months.

What do you guys do to support your music hobby? If it is music then perhaps its not a hobby.

Anyway, currently I teach part time at a variety of music schools including a middle school where the pay is halway decent. I do roadie gigs for entertainment companies and I am looking for a job at Starbucks for stable income. All this and I still really can't afford rent in NYC.

I also sell beats and do dj gigs but right now it is too seldom to be any real money. I hope to change this ratio by the time i am 25.

SO thats me. What do you guys do for money??

I'm a graphic designer for a TV News program.

I also give FL Studio Lessons.

Proper job; 8-5, Mon-Fri. I hate it but it funds everything I want/need.

I'd like to switch to something I enjoy more and that isn't as tiring but the pay would be less, so atm I'm sticking with it whilst I nurture my production into something hopefully/unrealistically more than a hobby.

I go to McDonalds every morning around 10am and buy about a hundred 1$ breakfast sandwiches. I keep them in those delivery pizza bags so they stay warm. Then at 10:30 when they stop selling breakfast, I sell them outside the front door for 2 bucks a piece until the run out, get cold, or the cops come.

I'm an adjunct faculty member at two local state universities. Basically, I'm the minimum wage peon of higher education (I do a bit better than minimum wage...but you get the point...)

How dare you question my way of life. You're just jealous.

law student. I believe I could get a decent job in the field since I speak english and spanish and I go to a decent law school plus all my tats can be hidden using the everyday suit, but for now, odd audio jobs, playing nights, hopefully start my own and tune sales are a way of income, I rather depend on my parents so I can focus full time on school with a few hours per week on production.

I work like a dog (was doing 100+ hour workweeks) and just try to cram in learning at any juncture possible. I try to keep my learning curve as steep as possible because I only have so much time... but over the past three years I've actually come a long way (though most could have gotten there in a year having proper time :/ )
