How does Boiler Room operate?

What I mean is...
How do they get all these names to play? they've had everyone across the board play. there's no cover to their events, right? like aren't most of them invite only things?
I don't see a big Red Bull flag in the background. (no corporate sponsorship afaik) *take that back redbull is all over the place...*
They have spots all over the globe now. LA/NYC/LDN/Berlin/etc?
I'm not asking because I'm nosey (ok just a little bit) but more so in that it's amazing what they do with seemingly no revenue source?
Not to mention the bandwidth the website must generate now that they have something happening nearly everyday.
anyone know what I'm getting at?

They probably get some funding, and like I know they have been given some gear before like from pioneers and shit, and like from doing sessions with red bull and that hotel thing, they must get money from that.
Just been on their site and there is a redbull logo in the top right corner, so they must be sponsered by them and shit.
The people play for free too, when they are around anyway, so its not as if they are being flown over to play, they are already there and because boiler room is quite big these days its pretty silly not to do it for free.

Yep, exploded to the point where producers/djs actually aspire to be on there and therefore don't mind playing free. Pretty incredible idea tbh, big up BR.

mate works there and says they make an absolute bomb from advertising etc. Redbull in particular. Also there's a certain exclusivity about it which helps.

plenty of sponsorship. red stripe, umbro, red bull.
people play because its huge exposure and a good thing to be associated with.
people go because its free, and when your in the room your hip levels increase threefold.
its losing the magic it had when it started though.

If you know someone who works there they normally give out a +1. Some of the nights are open to everyone but most u need to be affiliated in some way. Dunno if its the same in the LA and Berlin ones.

as mentioned, sponsorship from Red Bull definitely makes up a huge part. the RB logo is on almost, maybe all the flyers, and there's often strategically placed cans of RB in front of the decks.
labels/DJs jump on as it's free promotion, and 45mins at 9pm is pretty handy for them.
guestlist is usually through the acts that are playing/label involved on the night, but some will be friends of BR people. occasionally on FB/twitter you'll see BR/DJs mention that they have some gl spots to give out.
