Re: [VIDEO] Four Tet in the studio
what the fuck, seriously?
"Yeah I speed up the sample twice as fast, quantize to 8th notes and cut on every beat. Then I space out the sped up version equally so it's the same length as the original and every time there's an instance of sound I duplicate it and then I reverse it, so every 8th note you hear a repeat of the note you just heard but backwards. So the effect is that you get something that's completely in time with the original sample but is also faster, and also backwards simultaneously."

Nah... nah! forget it.... I'm done. This man is a demi god. That video is nothing less than complete .... just.... his whole vibe is just....
It's very rare to witness someone with that actually genuine 'thing', but when it's real you can tell, this guy sure puts my faith back in the term Artist. He basically personifies my view of the very dying breed of actual proper genuine musician, in it for the music, not even a choice, didn't even mean to kind of musician/artist. No pretense, nothing, you can tell he has an amazing and deeply personal relationship with sound.
One of the best in the studio video's I've ever seen. Nice one wub!
