Projects out of reach

Post by Nibzz » Wed Feb 27, 2013 1:53 am

Alright guys, I was just wondering if anyone has - I would assume so - projects they would love to make, be it a conceptual EP about a given subject, or land, or a track etc etc. But haven't gone for it, or thought it impossible, or implausible - either to their skill level, or fearing they'd ruin it or due to anything really.

I know I have, and why. I love making tracks - or writing - to an idea, story, plan or theme. And I would love to one day do a musical interpretation of something lol - the subject varies a lot though. I'm writing a book and would love to do an EP based on it to coincide with it being finished (like Coheed and Cambria but electronic, and a book, not a comic), but that is a dream, my book is taking ages to finish. :( I also love collaborations, and have had many ideas for EP's or albums, but the problem there is getting people on board and getting it somewhere so everyone doesn't give up amongst other things.

Anyway, have any of you guys got any aspirations or projects they would love to, one day make a reality?
I'm The Nibelheim Incident, and this is my latest free track.

I've been meaning to do a spoken word/electronica thing for quite a while. Never manage to cowboy up and do it though.

I would love to take a month off and lock myself in a room filled with ghetto and vintage analog gear and produce a shit ton of reggae tracks. Later, I'd have vocalists (not reggae vocalists) recording over the tracks only to dub it all. :h:

Nice.

I'd like to do a field recordings based album...though TBH the only thing really holding me back is there is lack of a decent field recorder

Also once I've built up my collection of smaller/battery synths and tone generators, sling a half dozen in a back pack and going to record live jam sessions out and about in the city. Matching the vibes of what is playing to the experiences that I'm having...watching the sunset from here is top of my list once I've got that together.
