Im not going to babysit you on what each thing does... the patches are entirely up to you and you can tweak/change them to your liking; this is just an example!
The basic massive preset itself:

I encourage you to tweak/change this patch (heck, create your own!).
EDIT: Picture is cut off for some reason, mid is boosted a bit and high just a tiny tiny bit (1 notch). Also, threw on some dimension expander (dry and size only up a little) and classic tube (up about 10 o'clock).
The most Important part comes with the EQ shifting:

Filter 1: Gained down about -2.21, Q 1.52
Filter 2: GAIN UP, Q 79
Filter 3: GAIN DOWN, Q 93
Filter 4: Gained up about 2.95, Q 71
Filter 5: Rolled off high
I pretty much do it to ear; remove some high end (it is very noisy), and take out a bit of low so it isn't so muddy. Again, change this to liking.
You are going to be shifting Filter 2's frequency. You can automate that directly or map it to a macro control:

Play around with this, it is different depending on the patch. Do what sounds best

End product:

And that's it! Nothing too extreme or indepth. Just wanted to display a technique that I stumbled upon which may help somebody!
Cheers
