Pitch envelopes on drums for extra punch?

Hi, I am layering, saturating, parallel compressing and eq'ing all my drums, but I find my kick needs more punch. It's currently the ableton 909 with a sine sub from analog underneath.
I don't know the right way to use pitch envelopes to add punch, can anyone explain please? Do you transpose it slightly upward or what?
Currently got it set like this:-
ALSO
Can you offset the delay on channels in rewire mode? I keep messing with the values but it doesn't seem to be working, maybe cos i am running ableton in rewire?

Depending on the kick you are starting with, set the envelope range to +12 or +24, then pitch asdr to immediate attack, medium decay, a quarter way on the sustain and around halfway on the release. This is usually a good starting point, if u are using simpler, 60% on the sustain is usually good, then adjust the decay to taste.

If you are using one sample then doing this can be a good way to add that extra attack/transient. If you are layering be careful because even the tiniest changes in your pitch envelope or amount will change the relationship of that sample to the other layers and it might be easier to just find a kick with a nice high-end/transient and layer that.

with kicks, hi hats, rimshots i turn the attack down all the way as with D/S/R to give it extra punchiness. if you use fruity, I find just slapping on fruity fast dist. will do the trick
